In just a few hours, I will be boarding Lufthansa flight LH 791 from Singapore to Munich. In less than a day, I will be setting foot on a new continent for the first time in my life: Europe. And for two weeks, I’ll be living out one of my personal travel goals and dreams.It’s an amazing opportunity for me. Just a few years ago, my friends and I were dreaming of taking a huge trip around Europe. It was mostly talk until less than a year prior to the planned flight date. Trying to figure out an itinerary and budget was challenging but fun for me, and I was excited about the whole thing. Then, suddenly, I got a job offer in Singapore, and the plan fell apart.

When my contract was renewed for a second year, I decided that this was going to be the perfect time to plan a trip to Europe. I researched everything I needed: Flights, transport costs, hostels, visa requirements, etc. I set various goals for myself so I would have everything I needed to go to Europe.

And tonight, I’m finally flying to Europe!

I’ll do my best to blog and post as much as I can while there. There will probably be more posts on Twitter and Facebook, and hopefully some updates on Flickr.
